As much of the film was shot in the car, both static and moving, a whole range of filming techniques needed to be used. Flatbed filming, vehicle to vehicle, drone shots and cable cam shots were all used in the filming of the key driving scenes. In the story the car was old, and yet very much loved, and the same can be said for the car during filming. Due to nature of being an old vehicle, much was needed to be done to Sylvia to keep her going till the end.
Throughout the filming process, both cast and crew became very attached to the car, and it really did start to become one of the key characters in the story – much like the real life story upon which the film was based.
